My daughter and I are crazy animal lovers, and wanted to share some of our favorite pet pictures. So here we go starting with our current pet:
This is our chihuahua, Sassy. We fostered her from the Arizona Humane Society, and after we had her a couple of weeks, we knew there was no way we could give her up. She got her name because of her “sassy” personality. Even though she was skin and bones we brought her home, she was moving things around the house and acted like she owned the place. So we thought that was pretty “sassy” of her. And believe me, it’s only gottan worse. Notice that she even has to wear a sweater in Phoenix!!!

Silly Sassy
Over the years, we have rescued several cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, you name it. I took pics of one the really sweet cats that was a stray in the neighborhood. She was just a little kitten when we first saw her running around the house. It was summer in Phoenix, and the temperatures were well into the 110’s. I didn’t see her for a few months and we just figured that she didn’t make it through the summer. But in late fall she showed up again, and I started feeding and watering her off the front porch, and as you can see from the picture below, she just started making herself at home. Originally her name was Minnie or Skinny Minnie, but once she fattened up, she was still Minnie, but now we had to change it to Minnie Pearl.
