AZ Humane Society Needs Your Help!

AZ Humane society sponsors a special project called Project Active Duty. Project Active Duty is a very special foster program at the AHS which helps pets when their moms or dads are deployed by the military. Well, Jazz is a beautiful two-year-old German Shepherd, and needs help through this program. Her mom is being deployed to Iraq, and Jazz therefore needs to go into a long-term foster home, where she will be part of a family and receive the love and care she is used to receiving. This will not only help Jazz, but, as you can imagine, it will give her human mom untold peace of mind while she serves.

This is a big commitment, of course. But if we have an AHS volunteer who can help Jazz and her pet parent, or a friend of an AHS volunteer whom we can bring onto our Foster Force for this case, you will earn a place in their hearts for a lifetime.

Here’s a little more info about Jazz… First, she is a very good girl who has been well cared for. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and knows her basics commands. She LOVES people of all ages, young and old. She will, however, need to be the only pet in the home. That last part is a tall order, because, as you can imagine, most of our volunteers have multiple pets. This is where we need your help in getting the word out there to your animal loving friends as well.

Anyone who may be able to help should call Tacy Pastor at 602-997-7585 x2058 right away.
